Penetration and Deposition of Air Assisted Sprayers
In 1994 a study was conducted on penetration and deposition of air assisted sprayers in a cotton canopy. The findings of this study were presented in 1994 at the ASAE International Summer Meeting. The study compared air curtain sprayers, FMC Degonia and Hardi Twin, and an air atomizer sprayer, the Airtec Airboom. Droplet Size, leaf coverage and depositions of Bifenthrin on the upper and under sides of leaves at the top and middle canopy locations were compared to a conventional hydraulic over the top ground sprayer.
